Course Description
The role of research in policy-making; Major practical, theoretical, and philosophical underpinnings of research with a contextual and practical emphasis on planning and its sister fields; Formal principles of research design as they apply to both qualitative and quantitative methods; Comparative advantages and disadvantages of different data collection methods; Universal ethical principles of research design.
