Course Objectives
1. To provide the students with ability of design a system-on-chip
2. To teach the students avionics design methods used in the development of defense technologies such as SoC hardware architecture, digital design methods and languages, embedded system architectures, hard/soft processor concepts, hardware-software co-design idea
3. To practice the students intensive practice as well as theory
Course Description
In this course, basic digital circuit components, general embedded system architecture, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA) and design principles with them, system-on-chip architectures and design steps, hardware description languages (HDL), reconfigurable (soft) microprocessor cores, hardware/software co-design, on-chip communication architecture, code generation and Linux operating system basics will be covered.
