Course Objectives
There are no compulsory rules in our country urging the Urban Planning to proceed in collaboration with Transportation Planning. On the other hand, in recent years, transportation problems arising in metropols proved simultaneous handling of both subjects is a necessity in metropolitan scale plannings.Course, open to City and Regional Planning Department doctorate students;acknowledging them about Land Use Decisions to be considered together with their effects on Transportation and introducing the models along with their areas of usage in determining Land Use-Transportation interactions

System analysis in transportation, Utility of Landuse – Transportation Models, Interrelationships Between Transportation System and Activity System, The scope and objectives of urban travel demand analysis, The Demand for Transportation, Transportation Supply, Trip distribution modelling : Growth Factors – Gravity Models, Modal split modelling : Logit Mode Choice Analysis, Assignment models : Public Transport Assignment, Transportation System Performance, Transportation Network Analysis, Evaluation and Choice .
